Brandi Duncan Joins Abbeville Housing Staff

ABBEVILLE, SC - Brandi Duncan recently joined the staff of Abbeville Housing, serving as Affordable Housing Manager.
In this role, Duncan oversees affordable housing operations, including resident eligibility and continued occupancy, recertifications, rent calculations, compliance, file quality control, and lease administration.
Originally from Elberton, Georgia, Duncan joined the Abbeville Housing Authority in August 2026. Duncan holds an Associate Degree in Accounting from Athens Technical College. Additionally, Duncan has completed professional certification and training in Public Housing Management, Public Housing occupancy and rent calculations, Fair Housing, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance.
With 10 years of experience, Duncan brings her Public Housing and compliance knowledge and expertise to the agency. Prior to joining Abbeville Housing, Duncan served as the Assistant Project Manager for a remote consulting company. In this role, Duncan supervised and trained housing specialists, managed teams of up to 16 employees, helped eliminate a backlog of more than 250 overdue recertifications, and implemented quality-control and workflow improvements that increased first-pass accuracy. Duncan also previously spent more than seven years with Greenwood Housing Authority, where she gained experience in housing program administration, resident services and administrative operations, with responsibilities that included eligibility and recertifications, rent calculations, regulatory reporting, file compliance and audit preparation, resident accounts and collections. Her experience also extended to resident and community programming, including work with the Strengthening Families Program.
Duncan continues her professional development through specialized affordable housing and HUD program training.
Duncan has 7 children and 2 grandchildren with her spouse, Adrian Duncan. During her free time, Duncan enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, participating in church and community activities, and developing projects focused on strengthening families and communities.

Abbeville Housing (AHA) serves the Cities of Abbeville, Donalds, Due West, and Lowndesville in Abbeville County, South Carolina. AHA provides 129 units through the Public Housing program. The Public Housing program was established to provide safe and decent housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
The City of Abbeville is located just 85 miles west of Columbia and 45 miles south of Greenville.
